On Going
This sculptural form is loosely modeled after a 400-year-old painting of the legendary mountains in North Korea—an iconic site often spoken of but rarely seen, which has taken on near-mythical status among Asians, particularly South Koreans. The work thus embodies both the mediated vision of a past artist and my own imagined perception of these elusive mountains, merging historical representation with personal preconception.
